Claude joins the Cobra workflow
What happened
Before Claude, Odoo development was manual: searching OCA forums, reading official docs, trial and error. Slow. Every customization took days.
First use: questions about Odoo 17 module structure. Then 18. Then code generation requests. Then full sessions where Claude writes the module, manages XML migrations, and diagnoses console errors.
The pivot: realizing that Claude doesn't replace the developer — it amplifies the ability to explore, test, and document. A solo dev can operate like a small team.
What changed
- Odoo development speed: cut by a factor of 3 to 4
- Ability to document in real time (CLAUDE.md per project)
- Exploration of topics outside my comfort zone (JS OWL, XML, advanced Python)
