HiFi Lovers Instagram Strategy — Marine Brief
Context
The HIFI LOVERS Instagram account is starting from zero, just as the brand has published its Yamaha special edition and needs to build a credible platform for partners (manufacturers, labels, concept stores) and upcoming launches. The goal was to frame a clear editorial strategy before handing it off to Marine, who already manages Cobra and Haute Fidélité.
What was built
- A clear positioning: 70/30 archive + editorial hybrid, complementary to hifi.retro rather than competing with it
- 4 content pillars with defined ratios (Archive 40%, Culture 30%, Editorial 20%, Subtle commerce 10%)
- A template posting schedule (5 posts/week + weekly reel on Fridays + daily stories) and editorial tone (FR/EN mix)
- 8-week launch plan, integration of the Yamaha special edition through an editorial angle, positioning strategy relative to hifi.retro, Marine's workflow, and 6-month KPIs
What was tricky / unexpected
- Prioritizing three stacked objectives (build audience / sell the special edition / partner platform) rather than tackling them in parallel — audience comes first and conditions everything else
- Nailing the positioning against hifi.retro: not a clone, not too editorial. The 70/30 split resolves the tension.

Instagram, Shopify (Yamaha special edition), shortlisted scheduling tools (Later / Metricool / Buffer), Notion or Google Doc for the approval calendar.
What this illustrates
Strategic use of Claude: the value isn't the final document but the upfront questioning that forces you to clarify the implicit (account role, realistic cadence, starting point, positioning). Three framing questions before any content production avoided a generic strategy. "Strategy before execution" principle: discussion first, deliverable second.

- Share the doc with Marine and gather her operational feedback
- A dedicated session on the Culture pillar + reel workshop (growth lever #1)
- Decide when to open up to paid collabs (recommendation: not before 10k followers)
- Prepare the launch brief and HF cross-promo activation
